No.10 Miami football defeated No. 5 Notre Dame 27-24 in Miami on Sunday Night

The Hurricanes forced two turnovers and had an efficient performance offensively, as first-year transfer Carson Beck completed 20 of 30 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns in his first start at Miami. Six passes for 82 yards and a touchdown went to 17-year-old true freshman Malachi Toney, who emerged as a potential future star for the Hurricanes.

Notre Dame, was down once 21-7, didn’t go down easy, they scored 17 points in the fourth quarter, finding offensive momentum that wasn’t there in the first three quarters of the game. Redshirt freshman quarterback CJ Carr, making his first-career start, completed 19 of 30 passes for 221 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He also rushed for a score.
