NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Jane Slater reported that The Dallas Cowboys are trading All-Pro edge rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for a compensation package of 2026 and 2027 first-round picks and three-time Pro Bowler Kenny Clark.

The Cowboys subsequently announced the trade.

Upon arriving in Green Bay, Parsons will sign a four-year, $188 million deal with $136 million guaranteed that will make him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history at $47 million per year, Rapoport, Pelissero and Slater added.

Instead of negotiating a deal he thought he already had in a handshake with Parsons in March, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones instead decided to trade Parsons. It will send shockwaves through the NFL.

Parsons has not practiced fully with the team since the end of last season, holding in during the offseason program and training camp.
