How to Play: MLB Hit Streak Survivor on Splash Sports
Playing MLB Hit Streak Survivor on Splash Sports is simple, but on Day 1, the rules are a bit specific to help you get off to a strong start.
- Select Your Roster: For your very first day, you must select two Primary players and one Alternate. All three must be from different MLB teams.
- The Survival Goal: To advance to Tuesday, you only need one of your Primary players to record at least one hit.
- The Alternate Rule: Your Alternate is your insurance policy. If one of your Primary players is not in the starting lineup or is scratched before the game, your Alternate automatically slides into their spot.
- Keep it Moving: From Day 2 onwards, the game gets tougher—you’ll only pick one Primary and one Alternate each day. If your player hits, you move on; if they go 0-for-4, your streak ends!

Top Survivor Picks for April 13
Primary Pick 1: Andy Pages (LAD)
Andy Pages has been an absolute revelation for the Dodgers’ lineup early in this 2026 campaign. He currently leads the National League with a blistering .429 batting average and has already racked up 24 hits in just 56 at-bats. Pages isn’t just finding holes in the defense; he’s punishing the ball with a 1.181 OPS and four home runs on the season. Over his last seven games, he’s maintained a steady .346 average, proving that his hot start isn’t just a fluke. In a Dodgers lineup that forces pitchers to throw strikes, Pages is the ultimate “Primary” lock for your Monday slate.
Primary Pick 2: Xavier Edwards (MIA)
If you are looking for pure contact to sustain a hit streak, Xavier Edwards is your man. Edwards is currently slashing .350/.400/.517 through his first 60 at-bats of the 2026 season. Known for his elite “bat-to-ball” skills, he has already recorded 21 hits and has shown a remarkable ability to avoid strikeouts, ranking in the top percentiles for whiff rate. While he doesn’t provide much over-the-fence power, his speed and ability to put the ball in play make him a nightmare for opposing defenses and a dream for Survivor pool players.
The Monday Alternate: Drake Baldwin (ATL)
Drake Baldwin has carried his 2025 Rookie of the Year momentum straight into 2026, currently batting a stout .328 with a massive 1.004 OPS. Baldwin has been incredibly reliable for the Braves, recording 20 hits and 16 RBIs in just 61 at-bats. What makes him stand out for Monday’s matchup is his consistency; he has reached base safely via a hit in four of his last five games, including a multi-hit performance against Cleveland just a few days ago. Whether he’s behind the plate or in the DH spot, Baldwin’s .397 on-base percentage makes him the perfect high-floor alternate for your entry.
Weather Report & Strategy Tips
While the Mets are in sunny LA tonight, keep a close eye on their return to Citi Field tomorrow. The Mets vs. Diamondbacks series (April 14–15) has already moved its start times up to 4:10 PM ET due to forecasted temperatures in the low 30s. If you’re planning on picking hitters from that series for Day 2 or Day 3, be careful—frozen bats rarely lead to hit streaks!
The “Commissioner’s Strategy
Target the Top of the Order: Pick guys batting in the 1 through 4 spots. More at-bats = more chances for a hit.
Avoid the “Ace” Trap: “Even if Aaron Judge is your favorite player, don’t pick him if he’s facing a Cy Young winner. In Survivor, we look for the weakest pitchers, not the biggest names.”
Target Games: The Hitter’s Advantage
When picking for a hit streak, we want heat. Warm air is less dense, meaning the ball travels further. Tonight, we are targeting two specific “Hot Zones”:
Cleveland @ St. Louis: A summer-like high of 84°F means the ball will be jumping off the bat at Busch Stadium.
Miami @ Atlanta: Truist Park will be a comfortable 82°F at first pitch. This is a massive advantage for guys like Xavier Edwards, who rely on speed and solid contact.
Hot Hitter Alerts
Gunnar Henderson (Orioles): He’s on a 6-game hitting streak and has been crushing right-handed pitching.
Ben Rice (Yankees): Note that he has a 1.183 OPS through his first 11 games. He’s a “breakout”
