We’re back at it and officially riding a 12-3 heater.

It’s Sunday, April 19th, and we have a full 15-game slate on the board. I’ve crunched the numbers to find the three best matchups to push our record to 15-3.

Let’s get into today’s picks.

Today’s Top 3 Picks

1. Shohei Ohtani (LAD) @ Colorado (3:10 PM ET)

The Logic: Ohtani at Coors Field is the “5-1” gold standard. The Dodgers finish their series in the thin air of Denver today. It’s a day game and the ball will be jumping against Colorado’s Ryan Feltner.
The Fact: Ohtani has a career .340 average at this park. With the high altitude, he is the highest probability hit-spot on the entire Sunday slate.

2. Spencer Horwitz (PIT) vs. Tampa Bay (1:35 PM ET)

The Target: 1.5 Total Bases
The Logic: Horwitz has been an absolute machine lately. He’s facing Taj Bradley today. Horwitz’s elite plate discipline forces pitchers to give him something to drive.
The Fact: He has reached base in nearly every game he has started this month. After a 3-hit game earlier this weekend, he’s seeing the ball too well to bench.

3. Bobby Witt Jr. (KC) @ NY Yankees (1:35 PM ET)

The Logic: Witt Jr. is facing Ryan Weathers in a hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium. His 99th percentile speed is the perfect safety net; he can turn a routine grounder into a hit better than anyone in the league.
The Fact: Witt has recorded at least one hit in 15 of his 20 games this season. In this park, he’s primed to keep the streak alive.
