- The Logic: Carpenter has been the primary engine of the Tigers’ offense this month with 6 home runs. He went hitless in yesterday’s contest, but his season-long slugging profile suggests he rarely stays quiet for two games in a row. Facing a right-handed starter in a hitter-friendly park like Truist, Carpenter only needs one extra-base hit to clear this.

2. Bryce Elder (ATL) vs. Detroit Tigers
Line: 4.5 Pitcher Strikeouts
- The Logic: Bryce Elder has been phenomenal this season with a 1.95 ERA. While he isn’t a “flamethrower,” he has been consistently efficient, averaging just over 5 strikeouts per start in 2026. Against a Tigers lineup that has shown a tendency to chase high-sinker/slider combinations, Elder should be able to find at least 5 punchouts before handing it over to the bullpen.

3. Logan Webb (SF) @ Philadelphia Phillies
Line: 5.5 Hits Allowed
- The Logic: Logan Webb is the definition of a workhorse, but he faces a brutal matchup today. The Phillies’ lineup is loaded with left-handed power that historically matches up well against Webb’s sinking action. Projections for today have Webb allowing an average of 6.02 hits. In a small park like Citizens Bank, we expect the Phillies to find enough gaps to push this over the 5.5 mark.
